Cub Scout Family Camp

Join us at Camp Buck Toms for A Pirate's Life - a fun-filled weekend of Scouting activities designed for the enture family. August Family Camp will offer families an opportunity to explore a variety of events related to water activities, including swiming and boating.

The Great Smoky Mountain Council will take a contingent of:

  • 5 Troops, with:
  • 36 youth for each troop, and
  • 4 adult leaders for each troop.

    Tragedy in Western Iowa

    We are deeply saddened by the horrific impact of the devastating storms that tore through western Iowa.. To the families of those who were affected, we extend our deepest sympathies and concern. To the leaders, Scouts, and emergency personnel who responded so quickly and effectively, we extend our sincerest gratitude.

    Internet Advancement Process

    Internet Advancement allows you to enter youth advancements, awards, and merit badges and perform the following actions:

    • Select members from your existing roster,
    • Review, update, or add ranks, merit badges, and/or awards,
    • Access an online Review Unit Roster feature and the Unit Advancement Summary,
    • Print an Advancement Report with a Unit Awards Summary to assist in purchasing.

    BSA Online Learning Center

    The site provides a variety of materials, from quick references to complete courses, all designed to help members improve leadership skills and deliver a quality program. These courses can help adult leaders deliver quality Scouting experiences to youth. A log-in is required, however anyone may create a user account and view the courses. Registered members of the BSA may provide their member numbers (as part of the user profile) to receive credit.
